SLI HUD w/ Beta Driver

Sorry if this information is posted elsewhere, I did my best to search through reasonably recent posts.

Is it a known issue that the SLI HUD doesn't work with the beta driver? Running two 8600 GTS cards, have the xorg.conf option set to "auto" and SLI does appear enabled in the nvdia config app. However, starting games like ETQW and WoW do not display the HUD. They do if I downgrade back to the current stable release.

So, A) Is this known? B) Is SLI still working?

If this isn't a known issue I will post all the various requirements for support and such.

Look here. Run a nvidia bug report and submit it to linux-bugs@nvidia.com as well

Issue still exists with 177.67, report attached.

We looked into that; it turns out SLI "Auto" currently disables SLI. I'm filing a bug; in the meantime, please specify the SLI mode manually. Sorry for the bother.

Thank you very much. I changed the xorg.conf entry to from "auto" to "AFR" and it does seem to be working.

Just FYI, this issue is still present in 177.70. Setting the type of SLI manually is still a workaround.
