Hello all,
After I install the Nvidia drivers on Ubuntu 7.10 (x86_64) using the utility provided, my panels (2408 WFP) are detected and everything works fine. When I restart the system (shutdown -r), xorg.conf.failsafe is always being used. I run the utility that installs the drivers every time the system boots up. That seems to make the system use the xorg.conf file produces by nvidia-xconfig. I have issued the Code:
nvidia-xconfig Code:
nvidia-settings --load-config-only Please find attached a copy of my nvidia-installer.log file. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. YMas |

I manually deleted the residual files left over from the previous install (using the restricted driver manager).
Xorg.0.log file is ok. Everything is in working order (or so it seems). |
