well maybe you can try using the 4191 drivers and get the rpm files where you download and install the kernel and glx sepertadely...

that is what I wanted to do but if I am not mistaken, 4191 does NOT work with RH9??!!

I would have to install RH8, right?

But forgot to mention that more info on disabling RH 9's new Native POSIX Thread Library (NPTL) can be found here:
