UPDATE: restarting xorg many times might help, looks like sometimes fails to init AGP, but I don't know why.

This is still an issue in 180.25.
Using 2.6.28 kernel.

For me AGP support is OK using 180.17, 180.18 betas, but broken in 180.22, 180.25.

akos: have you tried restarting Xorg multiple times?
Sometimes it works, but it is not a solution, more of an ugly workaround...

hi, can you tell me how to downgrade to 180.17 driver in order to solve this strange issue?

edit: i've downgraded to the version 180.16 and now i don't have anymore that problem, now at startup i have correctly Agp 8X

Restart X 4 times didn't help. Upgrading 180.27 also not help. This latest pre-release now works well with kernel .29-rc3, but this slow AGP is exasperating.
