I tried to search, but couldn't find answers..
I have Asus M2NPV-MX with HDTV extension (including component out). Are there drivers already for Linux that supports PAL (ie.50Hz) from component out using HD720p or/and HD1080i? I tried about six months ago with some old drivers (I assume something like 1.0-9755 version), and then only 60hz worked through component in HD720p and HD1080i? What is the current situation? |

Few months later... Is HD720p (or HD1080i) with 50hz through component still not supported?

I think that 50hz is more commonly used than 60hz worldwide in television broadcast, so why is this important feature still not supported? |

Can someone please answer if you have this feature working? I have tried this way: Option "TVStandard" "HD720p" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPONENT" Option "UseDisplayDevice" "TV" And I have also set Twinview to use my own 50hz modeline in metamodes, which ends up to no picture at all in component. But if I select 60hz modeline for component in metamodes, I get the picture. |

Are there any Nvidia unix driver developers reading this forum? Or how to contact them?
Is 50hz going to be supported on Component output in 720p or 1080i? I'm not sure, but I think that 50Hz is more commonly used than 60hz in television broadcasts worldwidely! That's why I'm wondering, how this is not supported. |

If you want some developer attention, you might want to take a look at http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=46678 and post a bug report.
