Guys I am a noob at Linux but after installing the nvidia drivers through Adept I only get one resolution which is 640x320. How do you properly get this card to work on Kubuntu 8.04.1 and thanks for the help.

Use nvidia-settings to choose your resolution, it may be not installed, so you will have to do this before:
Code:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings |

It doesnt work. I either get X started in a low resolution or my monitor says out of range.
I just need a step by step method to get this thing working properly. |

Guys I have done everything I know or ead how to do. I edited my Xorg.conf file because there were not resolution or freq's in the Display section. The video driver read nvidia. I still got out of range on the monitor even when I put in 800x600. So what gives?

maybe you should post your nvidia bug report here so we can see if there is a problem and then help you... moaning that it does not work helps nobody.

I do not know how to make a bug report. Also there should be a straight way to install this driver. If there is please let me know cause downloading the driver from the nvidia site and then trying to install was a pain. I might have screwed something up. I am a noob at Linux so please understand.
