Default Crucial's RealSSD C300: SSD Horror story

I can't believe how bad some of these expensive SSDs are. Buying SSD seem to be quite a risk still.

Don't scare me like that, I just picked up an Intel X-25M 160GB SSD. I was looking at the C300 though, but decided against it because the Intels just seemed more reliable, and faster random read times to boot.

I'm definitely going to buy whatever they have to offer in the sub-$200 range once their new products come out in Q4 of this year. I've been itching to buy an SSD for a while now, but it seems like they're still the best option in most cases.

Same here. I was tempted with going with one of the cheaper brands, but knock on wood this intel has been amazing so far.

still cost to much

point of this thread was that for how much these SSD cost, a lot of them are pure ****.

you never really know what you might get.

SSD is still miles away from HDD reliability.
