slaWter thanks for the Intel X25-M 2x RAID review, GREAT performance.

Whats wrong with Windows 7 WEI low score for the i7 965 EE, I mean what else you can get, the 975?.
The Graphics score can be fixed with the GTX 295 but as you said the best is to wait for the GT300.

Looks like Vista 64 is using completely different scoring but I definitely need new primary disk.
Still not sure what I will buy in October with the Windows 7.

I've got one of these babies arriving TOMORROW (160 GB) Is there anything I need to do to prep this thing (BIOS flash, etc.) or can I just slap it in and go?

And you're not supposed to run defrag on them?

Should a pagefile not be put on these drives as well?

What about the Matrix driver for Windows 7? I can't get it to install. It says my system doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Is the default driver ok for optimal performance?

I'm only getting a 7.3 rating on the Windows experience index for hard disk

I'd say 7.3 is normal for single SSD in Win 7 RTM. But that test is useless anyway
Note: The Windows Vista* driver has a bug which does not allow NCQ on Intel SSDs. For Vista*, only IMSM is recommended. An update will be provided when this issue has been resolved.

I read that on the Intel website. It doesn't say Win 7 but it still had me worried
