Quote:
Posting on the EA forums, a UK staffer for the publisher has claimed that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of FIFA 09 are “different” to the PC SKU as the huge majority of home computers simply wouldn’t be able to play them. Full thing:

The PC version of FIFA 09 is different to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions because of the CPU processing power required for the architecture of the game.

The majority of gamer’s PC’s do not have enough CPU processing power for this architecture, so FIFA09 on PC has been built to have the best possible graphics and gameplay engine while still being accessible to as many fans of the game as possible. If the architecture was identical to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, FIFA09 on PC would only be accessible to 1-3% of the PC systems on the market.

Having said that, FIFA09 on PC delivers a very deep gameplay engine, along with leading-edge visuals.

So there you have it. Want the best looking FIFA? Buy yourself a nice console.

Looks sweet, cant wait to try it. My friends and I would have FIFA tournaments until our thumbs went raw. My only complaint was that the game had a bit of a BS factor in it that favored the losing team. I've never seen as many 45th and 90th minute goals in years of soccer as I did in one FIFA tournament.

I have both the PC version and Xbox 360 version, the PC version's gameplay and controls don't even compare to the 360 version, which is really really odd, isn't it supposed to be the same game? I used the same xbox 360 controller for both.

This really sucks because I was hoping to enjoy the improved graphics (res/AA) on my 4870. Damnit EA, why always give PC the shaft when it comes to sports games, the same crap goes for the NBA series

You can try the attached file to increase difficulty and set half length to 6 mins. I also changed the game speed to fast to make more responsive.

You just need to place the file in your fifa directory.

You can put more load on your GPU. Place the attached file in your data/cmn- Remember to back up your original file.

Edit:With that file players don't lose detail when you get away from them. Check you replays when you get close the details are increased, with this file you get the best detail at any distance.
