Anyways... I just played a bit and so far it seems a little more polished. Had one strange bug where Triss had a big glowing magic orb effect stuck to her head in one scene, but other than that its been fine.

I am getting some odd stuttering though. Usually when there is lightning or magical lighting effects. Its very strange. When the stutters aren't occurring, the game runs amazingly smooth. I thought it'd run worse with the slight graphical enhancements but it seems to run as good or better than I remember. Usually around 80fps at 1600x1200 with everything maxed and no AA. The stutters seem to be rapid dips to the 50fps range, which is surprisingly noticeable.

I've actually had a few dips to the low teens, mainly when fighting the Beast when tons of particle effects were active. Aside from that and a couple of weird bugs with some dialog trees, the game is much more polished and the translation far better than it was before. I'm enjoying it very much.

Well, so far so good. I'm nearing the end of the "outskirts" portion of the game, with all side quests done and so far I haven't had any real issues. The game feels much more polished now, especially with the lightning fast load and save times. I don't know what they did to make things so much faster but it significantly improves the experience.

Two things that seem odd to me though are the voices and the character models. Didn't they say they rerecorded almost all of the dialog and added hundreds of new character models to add variety? Things still look and sound the same to me. There are still only 5 or 6 different people and I still hear a LOT of really corny\amateurish dialog, especially the random comments by towns folk. Most of the women's voices are obviously young women trying really hard to sound like old ladies. It just sounds really funny and out of place, and I thought that was what they were going to fix. The rest of the dialog still seems pretty much the same too, except for Leo's voice.

Its nothing that takes away from the game really, I just thought these were the things they were going to improve.

i know they fixed the main NPC models. you know that there were bunch of characters that were part of the story that looked like standard characters just walking around. those got altered.

Yeah, I remember having to talk to NPCs that looked like 3000 other people I'd seen.
