Default so yeah, will be reinstalling vista today

right now doing a back-up just in case, re-install doesn't fix the problem, i will just restore it back.

about 2 weeks ago i noticed my blu-ray burner started acting funny, instead of reading at 6x, it only does about 3.3x max. it still will burn at 6x.

first thing i tried was different PC, and in my server it performs normaly.
then i tried removing all junk from PC, everything, all weird drivers etc.. still the same thing.

so now will try reinstall of windows. lets see what happens

found out what was causing the problem, it was Daemon Tools

as soon i installed daemon tools blu-ray drive speed was cut down. now need to find another image mounting program

to be more specific is SPTD that is causing the problem is a joint component between Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%

so unless that gets updated soon, there is no solution.

blu-ray playback is fine, just ripping takes 3 times longer then it should

ok that was RW

Verbatim
BD-R 2xspeed 25GB 5pcs

I have no idea what SEK value is, but here is not that much.

DVD+R DL, I only buy Verbatim(made in Singapore), only good +R DL disc, everything is else is not worth the effort, ok i also buy some cheap crap sometimes, but only to burn something for someone else, never burn my stuff on it.

comparing advertised capacity 8.5gb vs 25gb

Best Buy
VERBATIM
15pack spindle for $33 = $2.2 per disc = 26 cents per GB
5pack cases for $20 = $4 per disc = 47 cents per GB
20pack spindle for $39 = $1.95 per disc = 23 cents per GB

Fry's Electronics
PANASONIC 4x
1pack case for $10 = 39 cents per GB

MEMOREX 4x
15pack spindle for $60 = $4 per disc = 16 cents per GB

the reason for two different stores is because neither of them care both brands
