blu-ray 1x speed = 4.5MB/s
dvd 1x speed = 1.35MB/s

1x blu-ray = about 3.34x DVD

6x blu-ray = about 27MB/s = 20x DVD (fastest DVD read speed is 18x possible on few drives after firmware hack)

blu-ray might top out at 12x, so about 56x dvd speed

right now i have LG 6x blu-ray burner

Get VirtualCD - Das Original

It does not use SPTD.sys, like Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%, but their own (much better and 100% stable) driver. Many games block SPTD.sys, but not VirtualCD.

i'm using virtualCD right now, only problem is that it doesn't have tray icon, need to go to my computer to run it.

I have a retail version, and it does show tray icon by default. Guess trial does not have it?



Anyway, get something that does not use SPTD.sys. That driver is pure evil, and causes many Vista x64 crashes.

There is only one "Das Original" :-) AnyDVD HD from Slysoft is great, but clonedrive is crap.
