Thought about it, but I kind of look at it this way, we will see Intel Core i7 about mid to late Nov, not really sure... Then it won't be available or really high priced, same as the mobos...

So we'll have to wait 2 months before it will be readily available... then there's bios updates, firmware, issues to work out ...etc

It's hard to not want to wait 4 months for them to iron out all the bugs, so I can't see buying a reliable, readily available system for about 6 months after release...

Then some of the prelim benchmarks are showing it to be marginally better at games, shows big improvements in server apps, and multi tasking but not so good in games... I duno I keep batting this one around and keep thinking it won't we worth the wait... meanwhile a q9550 should be good for games for a long time... with gpu upgrades every 6-12 months...

Sure they maybe high in price, but that means everything else will go down.

I have seen some pricing from Euro sites, but nothing that was from intel. The boards will be a premium price, but same can be said about that now. Top asus boards are $300.

I hope the ddr3 3gb kits will be better priced thou, as they become more n demand.
