Mr. QVC's at it again.

2560x on a 30" monitor is overkill, IMO. But can't say I wouldn't buy one if I had the money.

I owned the gateway and the upscaler makes gaming impossible. The lag is more horrendous taht you can imagine and consoles suffer insanely from it (mouse/wii stick unplyable). Got rid of it for a 1080 37" and could not be happier.

I don't get how the 3008 got owned?

They both scale through hardware, there appear to be some display issues with the first batch of 3008's but that's why Dell pulled them off the shelf and re-worked them to deal with those issues. Watch the second and first reviews side by side and they are showing the exact same color artifacting/blockiness.

The first review also clearly points out that the Dell has better inputs and overall features, though they claim the gateway image quality while watching movies is better.

Also, the first review is of the 3008 and the 2nd review came out and is comparing the Gateway to the 3007 (look at the date when it was released). Again, both the 3008 and the Gateway have upscalers for resolution.

I understand the use of your gigantic bold lettering but... apples and oranges amigo

That father Rob was definitely hoping for a freebie, I hope he got to keep it.

Father Rob is good at speaking the truth! And the truth shall set you free! Even the cnet dude said the gateway is a better performer. I don't need extra connections other then 1-HDMI and 1-DVI. I won't even use the rest of those connections. Well, it looks like I'll have two nice dual 30" LCD's side to side. Primary Gateway's XHD3000 30" LCD/ Secondary display Dell 3007WFP 30" UltraSharp. Since I won't get what I payed for the Dell 3007WFP I'll just keep it.

I know Gateway is also cheaper then the Dell and out performs it. Dell's still trying to push theirs for $1,999.00 Apply for Newegg's preferred customer account and see if you can get one with no payments for 12 months!!!!
