I pulled the trigger and purchased two EVGA GTX 280 FTW Graphics cards for SLI. With the GTX 280 Series cards being out now for a little while. How long will it take before a refresh is going to be available? I want to know so I can make sure I do the EVGA Step-up program before it expires.
Q3, Q4 is nearing I can't see it even being more then 90 days at that.

What constitutes a refresh in you guys minds? It was my understanding that they already recently updated/enhanced the GTX 260.

I don't think a step-up would even be possible. A refreshed 280 isn't going to be much different than the existing cards. eVGA doesn't allow lateral moves, nor can you upgrade to a faster-clocked version of the same GPU.

I am not trying to be mean, but perhaps you should investigate these things a tad bit more before going out and purchasing these top end hardware products with the intent of taking advantage of things like the EVGA step-up program.

No, I didn't want Quad SLI it scales like *****. The 280 GTX FTW in SLI-Mode is just as good as Quad SLI and in some cases out performs it. I read reviews, and the GTX 280 is better over a 9800 GX2 in SLI.
