Default Separate X Screen?

Hello,

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 with an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT gfx card. I'm using the NVIDIA Linux 177.78 (x64) driver.

I have two monitors. One is an LCD, the other a Plasma TV. The Plasma is in a separate room, connected to the the computer with cables through the opposite wall. I want to treat each monitor as its own separate desktop (unique resolution, menus, etc) connected to the same computer.

Using nvidia-settings program, LCD is set as primary display, auto resolution, separate x screen, absolute position.
Plasma is set as secondary display, 1280x720 resolution, separate x screen, absolute position.

However, that's not what xorg.conf seems to be showing. It always shows TwinView in the options section. Do I need to manually remove this? Or should the nvidia-settings program being doing this automatically? Maybe I just misunderstand what Separate X Screen means...

Here is a portion of my xorg.conf file as generated by nvidia-settings:
