Default xorg.conf file, Device or Screen sections?

Hi all,
I am trying to get a better performance (often X hangs for a second while I am working) and now I will play with xorg configuration.

There are many options that in the forums people say to set, so I have two questions:
1) which options should I use to get the best performance with my nVidia Quadro NVS 135M ?
2) why some options go in the Screen section and other in the Device section? in the Appendix B of the manual, I see that it says "They may be specified either in the Screen or Device sections of the X config file."... is there a difference?

thanks.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Instal..._R61#xorg.conf

for a similar card (nvs140) with explanations to most of the options.

Make sure to experiment with InitialPixmapPlacement to find the best value for your card (probably 1 or 2), this can be changed on the fly.

Thanks... it seems to work better, now I will do more tests... many of the options, anyway, where default values, only a couple of them override defaults

Anyway.. thanks
