I was just curious how do you know when it is not normal and in danger zone?
at full load playing Age of Conan, I am hitting 80-82 Celsius At idle it is 45-48 Celsius I am assuming these numbers are good? I came from an older 7800 GS AGP card which never got that high, but of course that is a different card. Thanks

With the fan at "Auto" mine idles at 43- 45C (40%)-playing AoC it's gone up to 70-72C I'm not sure what the fan is running at that temp but it's still pretty quiet.

for crysis it goes up to 85C
as long as that is normal and not going to damage the card i am fine with that

Your temps seem good to me. I have the PNY card and my idle temps are about 52 and load temps are 73. Your load temps might be a little higher because yours is overclocked.

Crysis goes up to 86C here, then the fan kicks in at 100% and brings the temps around 79-82C. I have dual GTX280s, but I'm just making a point on the safe operating temps of cards. Anything under 90 is very acceptable, and even up to 95C, in extreme cases. But, if you get that high, it's better to invest in some extra cooling...

oh right i forget that it is overclocked by default that could be why it is higher temp a little then everyone else though it still seems to be operating within normal operating range for crysis

Mine was at 76C while playing L4D. It was stuttering a little, I wonder if that was why? How do you adjust fan settings?

OP> seems like rather normal temperatures
mikeb33> use Evga precision tool or Riva tuner to adjust fan settings. |

this is an old thread...funny thing my original card died since i posted this, not sure if due to heat or what i got it replaced and temps seem to be a lot better now
though i been messing with riva tuner and i cannot get this thing to work good at all with getting the fans to run the way i want it to run when the temps hit a certain temperature maybe i will look into EVGA precision instead
