Default GPU temp: never changes

Hi,

I discovered that the GPU of my GeForce6200 PCI a temperature sensor has that is shown with nvidia-settings.

But it *always* shows 29C and never changes.

Is that a feature or a bug?

What do you mean with never ?
E.g. not even during 3D benchmarks ? If so, I'd expect a bug. Otherwise, during normal desktop usage it's OK to have a constant temperature I think.

Never changes. Would be a bug of the particular nvisia-settings package? In my case belonging to 96.43.07? Implying that a higher version *might* work.

But when I use 2 videocards:
00:08.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)
The 2nd one reads a correct 41C but the first one stays at 29C.
I'll try a later driver.
