As for the game, the only real complaint I can come up with is melee combat seems cumbersome, but then again he isn't trained in combat from a stories perspective so I forgive it for that.

True. I think it'll make aiming more comfortable I suppose, assuming EA didn't botch up the PC development of the game.

I hardly ever use melee either, aside from stomping at dead bodies for kicks, and item boxes.

Sucks to hear that the PC version may have inferior controls. I don't understand how they can screw it up? It's like a standard shooter control, kinda like a more basic GoW control scheme. There's no excuse for it if they did mess up the controls for the PC!

What do you mean "inferior"? It supports both the gamepad (which should work perfectly fine just like on the consoles) and the KB+M combo. So the controls are in fact superior as you can't have KB+M on the console, just gamepad.

Sorry I didn't clarify what I said. I speaking only in regards to the KB+M combo, which I would prefer to play the game in the PC version. Hopefully it is just a rumor and is unfounded.

Man I hope that's not true. I actually bought that POS game and the controls were absolutely atrocious. If Dead Space is like that, I definitely will pass. Have to see how it turns out.

So playing with a controller on PC is hardly a solution

you know there are these magic things called cables, and guess what you can plug in your PC to big screen.

who would have thinked it

It doesn't really surprise me the controls are iffy on PC with KB&M... the game's controls and interfaces are obviously designed around console controls.

You can play it on PC with a 360 controller though, so I don't see a problem.

I'm on chapter 7 now... the game gets a lot harder as it goes on, and ammo becomes more and more hard to find. I thought the game was ruined when I ran into invincible enemies who follow you around, but it seems like that was only a brief daliance with annoying gameplay.
