But it shouldn't be this way, why the control can't just follow mouse movement, instead of artificially making it slower or unresponsive?. What's the point of it?. This isn't a cross platform game where you are going multiplayer against 360 users, you don't need to have a castrated control system. Mouse should behave as well as it does in Windows desktop.

Unfortunately Yes.

Another reviewer mentions the bad controls.

This would have been a much more compelling horror game if not for the bizarrely sluggish mouse movement, which feels strangely slow and floaty. This is not a sensitivity issue, and occurs even in the main menu. You get used to it eventually, but it makes pinpoint-accuracy abnormally and unnecessarily difficult in a game that demands it more than the average shooter.

Bioshock suffered the same problem on launch, and the patch fixed it (not 100% fixed but enough for me)

Bioshock didn't release down here until after the first patch came out, so I never experienced that.

I really wanted to get this game on Friday. I may have to hold off until a patch is released to fix this. I don't want the experience ruined off the bat.

shame about the controls..i might just wait it out then. The game tho looks very promising...but if the controls are bad i will wait before buying, i am sure by the time the patch comes out it might be a bit less in price too.

I looked into it more, the developers say that the movement+aim controls are in line with the characters movement - in that he wears a big heavy suit so it's slow turning. When he is still it's 1:1 or something. Not sure how it will feel and I'm not sure why the menu is not right (if the 1:1 is true then it should be a quick patch fix)

It would have been the same time as you. I might have got the timing wrong.
