I am having a tough time getting the newest nvidia video driver to work on my new Fedora 9 installation. My first attempt to run the installer resulted in an error suggesting that I specify the location of my kernel source "--kernel-source-path"
so Code:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run Code:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path="/usr/src/kernels/2.6.26.5-45.fc9.i686" Code:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path="/usr/src/kernels/2.6.26.5-45.fc9.i686" --kernel-name="2.6.25-14.fc9.i686" I hope I have painted a complete [enough] picture of what I have done. this last command I entered went through with the installation, but now when i 'startx' I have a fatal driver error Quote:
