The PhysX patch isn't released yet, but the article said it should be available very soon. The new effects are mostly huge particle effects I would guess. At least it looks like that in the screens, or else there would be no need for PhysX acceleration.

Yep, there is a wind effect for storms that affects everything (trees, grass), it's just eye candy but must be really cool to look at. I hope they can improve performance because those numbers are far from good.

Wonder if the PhysX patch is the same as the one talked about here:
http://forum.sacredeng.ascaron-net.c...ad.php?t=57207
It doesn't mention PhysX, so got a bit curious. Maybe it is two different patches then.

Here is an video from the PhysX review, not complete yet though. But it shows dynamic storm/wind effects blowing leaves and stuff in the air. I like how it interacts with the Beam spell, but overall it might be a bit overdone. Have to wait and see, because anyway it was done with storm+rain. To bad it doesn't show more particle spell effects, which is more interesting to see how they done.

Btw, they also posted on the forum today a design preview of the upcoming expansion with a special mount.

I played this game for about a week or so on and off, made it to level 30 and now im kinda sick of it. Not that I dont like the game, but the constant respawning is just ridiculous. Kill 20 enemies, move 10 feet, kill 20 more, rinse and repeat for eternity. Run away and you got 100 enemies chasing you and the nasty lag that builds up after more come for you. It gets real old.

Well, that and the lack of camera customization sucks.

Was released before Ascaron even announced it on the forums haha. I think something went wrong in the communication there.

Please note that this is not only a PhysX patch. It contains a lot of game fixes. So everyone should get it.
