Since upgrading the kernel to 2.4.20-13.9 the driver had failed to load. If I reboot back the old kernel (which was the one running when I installed the driver) then it still works OK.
Should I have to do anything just because I upgrade the kernel or has something been broken by the new kernel? I am running a Quadro 4 900 GLX card with 2 monitors. Anyone else experiencing problems? Log attached. |

On a different subject but related....
You have any other issues with that particular kernel outside of the video driver stuff? When I upgrade my kernel to that exact version, it breaks all kinds of stuff on my machine. I have a standard RH9 install and updated with the RHN, but I cant use that kernel. :-( As for your question, you have to re-build the driver for every different kernel. You can try to run the update, or try to force and update. I havent had much luck with the 4363 driver in general though. lol.. come to think of it.. maybe my machine just doesnt like the latest stuff! -cjohn |
