I started with an FX5900 for .............................. ........$100
Traded it in for a 6200 and paid an additional .......... ......$100
Traded it in for a 6600 (AGP) and paid an additional ... ......$50
Traded it in for a 6600 (PCI-E)and paid an additional .. ......$25
Traded it in for a 7800GT and paid an additional ........ .....$100
Traded it in for a 7950GT and paid an additional ........ .......$75
Traded it in for an 8800GTX and paid an additional ..... .....$400
(Bought the 8800GTX online the instant it was available.)
Got a 9800GX2 for .................................................. ..$275
(I still have the 8800GTX.)
Returned it (9800GX2) for a GTX280 and an additional ......$125

.................................................. .................Total: $1,250

(IF I had bought all those cards outright, it would have cost .......$3,175)
I still have the 8800GTX and my new GTX 280 will arrive Tuesday.

So, for a grand total of ............................................$1250 I have an 8800GTX and a GTX280.
Not bad.
