Then theres my more common complaints for cinimatics.. akward looking unrealistic models, bad lip synching, and jittery movements. Does no one care about these things any more? I swear Squaresoft brought realtime cut scenes closer to life in FF12 using ancient hardware then anyone else has done on cutting edge PC and consoles (even games like crysis and cod4 suffer from ham handedness and wonky interaction between 2 models).
I agree completely with the look of the cinematics. The animation and models do look really artificial.

Also, the protagonist is Alan Wake, he's in lots of shots.

If you meant the antagonist... then yeah, there isn't much of anything out there about that. Toward the end of that trailer it showed Alan surrounded by some shadowy figures who looked like they were holding weapons.

I know my hopes are probably in vain but I'd actually like to see this as more of an adventure game with lots of non-action-oriented gameplay. The scenery just looks really nice and atmospheric, I'd hate to have 90% of the game take place in the dark with nothing but running and shooting. Since its made by the makers of Max Payne I'm sure the story and production values will be awesome, but the gameplay will probably be pretty shallow unless they really go a different direction.

1. Holy Low Poly Batman
2. Low Res wooden planks & weird puppet-like pose, very uncanny valley
3. WTF is up with Alan's buttocks ; smooth bind gone wrong ? Stretched vertices indicating Weightmapping not done yet ?
4. Holy Low Poly Batman again !?

That last pic. I take it the guy with the cap is Alan. Looks like a Karl Urban reject. Fine by me, he's safe in my books anyway
