Am I to assume even though HDR is greyed out and checked in DX10, that it IS enabled?

Using the same settings I got 2 and 3fps higher in min and avg respectively, DX10 vs DX9 which makes me think HDR somehow isn't enabled when greyed out...please advise.
Why don't you do a test. The easiest way to tell if HDR is on is to have the sun glaring down on an object (Stop signs usually work well) and it should be reflecting a lot of light. Find something in DX9 mode that you can tell a difference on with HDR ON / OFF. Then try again in DX10.

When HDR is greyed out that means its on, as far as I've read anyway.

As to DX9 vs DX10, benchmarks with the 180 driver show a 30% performance advatage with DX10, but I've not heard anything about visual differences.

I'm running in XP with 177.92 both HDR and Bloom seem to be available together. Are there higher settings in DX10?

DX9 or DX10?

Can you run the bench with your settings?

I'm doing a suite of benches right now on mine, I set up like 7~8 different runs at different settings/runs.

Well I finally got the game today, Best Buy had it but only on 360 and PS3 so I had to go to Frys and get it. Thats the second time they didn't have a game on its release date....

Anyway started playing, I am kind of impressed. Not as fun as Crysis and the visuals are impressive but dont beat Crysis as well. My biggest grip is where the heck are the animals, I was expecting there to be animals everywhere. Its nice to have something to shoot at walking around area and running over theme in my jeep.

Maybe the reason DX10 is faster in FC2 is that you cannot enable both HDR and bloom, however XP (DX9) being slower is because you can.

HDR is the advance version of bloom, there is no way you can enable both.

Could be something like TF2. You enable HDR but leave bloom disabled, but you can still change some console commands such as the bloom scalar factor, which seems to create a bloom-ish 'permanent' (ie; doesn't constantly adjust along with the HDR) glow.

Perhaps something similar exists in Dunia. You've got your dynamic HDR, and your static bloom that can be active at the same time for fuzzy blurry overkill.

Just played some MP and honestly, it kinda sucks. First off, I couldn't find how to login with an existing Ubisoft account (this whole authentication stuff really blows, I didn't want to have to sign up for ANOTHER stupid account just to play online). Once I got into a server, it took forever to find anyone. Maybe I was pissed at the whole Ubisoft account thing but I didn't really get into MP with this one.

Exactly!! horrible mouse lag in DX10 and it gets a little better in DX9 .. but still the mouse lag cripples the game experience

Both. Actually scratch that my framerate is fine even @DX10,UH .. its the mouse lag issue that is giving me bad experience.
