Probably more at work than just 64 bit Vista. Overclocks? Drivers? Running Programs?

I'm getting the odd freeze up at random times in the game. Happens mostly when driving. Strange thing is the freezes rarely result in a CTD. Most of the time the freezes are in short bursts for a while then eventually stop and I can continue playing. However once or twice I have had a CTD as a result. I've noticed this is only happening in a certain area. At least I think so..

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue? I'd like to know because I just finished solving an issue with my graphics card and the last thing I need now is another worry. I need to know if this is a a game bug or not.

I was getting freezing and CTD's while running under XP, but it's working fine in Vista 64

I've been running this game in Vista 64 with no problems, even using old video drivers (177s, IIRC).

I just finished it. Absolutely awesome game! Great open world implementation, great graphics (yeah, its not Crysis, but it looks better than Mass Effect, Bioshock or Oblivion), good gameplay (my only complaints were the assassination and weapons dealer missions were repetitive, and some of the weapons wore down way too fast), and a very high body count among named characters. This is one of those games that makes you stop and think, not about choices in the game, but the world in general and what you do if you were really in the middle of a mess like the one depicted in the game.

Frakkin awesome!

The game is entirely awesome! Up to 98% anyway. From that point on, prepare to be... Challenged...

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. So much so that I have yet to start Fallout 3.

I have nothing against the repetitiveness of the weapons and assassination missions. They are just side quests for getting some money and new weapons. I have not one single complaint about the game, one of the best shooter i've played in recent years.

so far, i would say i rather don't like this game.

constant jeep attacks, all the road blocks, or re-appearing enemies. annoying stuff.

re-appearing enemies should have been done differently, if you are attacking a building to gain some intel from one. Enemies would see you, either use a flair (ala Crysis) or call in for back-up. Jeep or two would show up and that is it.

something tells me that I will not play this for long, already bored with it.

Game with a Sticky thread 17 pages long can't be all that bad.

I'm in the 2nd area now and have put the game down for a bit(playing Fable2 currently). 2nd area feels like a copy/paste of the first area. <sigh>

Wish this game was mod'able. A few mods would make this game killer.

I keep looking for the nitrous button when I drive the buggy.
