Got one... Got the coremax version (216 cores) $290.04 shipped. $20 rebate + Farcry 2 ($50) makes it only $220.04 shipped

Coupled with the trade up in case they release a new card within 100 days makes it a good deal for me. I was thinking about the 280gtx but the specs sound like my PS can't handle the card.

Default Re: $200 BFG GTX 200's Plus Free Farcry 2 -Retail

Yea, I went back and forth with the core 192 and 216. Not sure why I went the 192 other then saving $60 lol($237 vs $297 shipped). It just looked a lot nicer in checkout. Plus I wasn't really itching to much to upgrade(after returning an overpriced B&M gtx260 last weekend) and settled on just keeping my 8800gts. I did however forget(busy with work) to take the 8800gts off of ebay from the weekend and it ended up selling. Remembered when I checked my email and it said it was sold.

So yea, $125 for my 8800gts, $237GTX shipped -$20rebate = $207 - $125GTS = $82gtx -$50 game= $32. Not a bad upgrade.

eVGA has a similar deal going on right now. I just got it in my email.

If you buy any GTX 260, 260 216 or 280 after Oct. 23rd you can get a free copy of Far Cry 2 if you register at their site.

wow, it really saddens me to see that I just bought Far Cry 2 and now am in the market for a new card....

So far Far Cry 2 has been less than stellar though anyway, kind of dissapoints me that they'd bundle a game that is relatively dissapointing with amazing cards.... atleast I'd argue that the game plays nothing like the original Far Cry, which is a major shortcoming in my mind.

Angry Re: $200 BFG GTX 200's Plus Free Farcry 2 -Retail

This is a marketing scam - nobody ever got the Far Cry 2 bundle from BFG :

End of October 2008 BFG (as well as other companies) promised a copy of the computer game Far Cry 2 to every customer who bought a GTX 200 graphics card after October, 22nd 2008. I bought mine in response to their ad campaign on October 23rd. Needless to say that I never got the game....

I tried to clarify this problem by calling BFG's support hotline but after keeping me on hold for ever I was told that they can't check the status of the Far Cry 2 shipments. It sounded like the people answering my call didn't even work for BFG ?!?

I also tried the eMail hotline. Feel free to read through the email exchange (start at the bottom). In short: After repeating the facts 5 times I gave up

OK - you can close the ticket... mark it as "resolved" and add it to your accomplishments for today.
Thanks a lot for wasting my time

Damn. That's a long wait. I think I got my copy of Far Cry 2 around 2 weeks after registering with eVGA.
