I took the motherboard out of the case, and hooked everything back up. Guess what, it works perfectly! Now what?

Now enjoy the fully operational PC.

Oh and maybe checkout your spacers, make sure everything is level and there is enough clearance. If it's a cheap case and all wonky, might be an idea to find something a little more sturdy. The CM 690 is a brilliant case for under 100AUD.

Good man now we have to figure out why the case caused the lockups. It could be a few things. First the Standoffs on some motherboards are grounding points. Depending on the case it may be a issue but very oncomon. My bust guess is the board gets slightly bent and some thing is being stressed. Put it back in CAREFULLY and only use the top 3 screws on the motherboard to install and don't tighten that hard. Try to boot and see if it is stable. I had a mobo that would get a slight bend after mounting and never would boot I wound up using onl ya few screws

I had more problems with the board, got really mad, and bought an Asus. Problem solved.

Great, now I'm having a problem with the new board. Actually I don't know if it's the board or what. When my case is laying on it's side I have no problems. When I stand it upright, it wont post, nor show any video. I let it boot to desktop, then stood it up again. About a minute later I heard a loud squeeling coming from somewhere in the case. I'm thinking maybe PSU? Any ideas what to look for?
