Got this today, seems cool, but my client (1.7) is hitching really bad now, mainly when turning and stuff. I never had this problem before. I wonder if it's the 190.38 drivers, because I haven't used them with Fallout 3 yet.

sigh

Pretty cool so far, it's 100% "indoors".

You could try this:

"This makes the game MUCH smoother guys. I suggest you all try it because this frame skipping is somewhat subtle. Once you see how much smoother the game is with this tweak you will understand!"

Make sure you have vsync on if you do this. Please report back your results.

I don't have any problems with this game. It runs nice and smooth with no tweaks like above. I run with vsync off. Just played Zeta. Good just like the rest of the DLCs.

Update.

It was the 190.38 drivers, thanks much.

I went back to 186.18, it's running much smoother now. They seem to fix some of the crashing and the crash on exit if you didn't do the workaround of copying DLC files to your main folder.

What would happen is, when mouselooking left or right, it would stutter...really bad, almost a complete pause. Certain areas with the steam or icy effects would kill the framerate. Also, those new healing arc things on the ship would almost freeze the client when using them, they have graph aura effect that would be really bad.

It's all smooth now. They did a good job graphically, very nice shiny and sterile space ship interior. Cool steam and icy smoke effects and lighting.

Some killer new weapons too, they use new Alien power cells.

Wait, the crash on exit fix is only if you leave the DLCs in the Live folder? Wow, that's lame.

The only mods I use are "essential UI optimizations" and "weapon mod kits." Weapon mod kits is pretty sweet...
