Anyone know how to turn off Mouse Smoothing in the game? It's annoying and creates lag

I loaded up fraps to observe my frame rates. I am vsynched (looks nasty on my lcd if I dont) and it stayed at 60fps ll the time indoores. Out doors in fluctuated alot between 40 and 60, but RARLY ever went below 40, even during fights. No mouse lag that I can descern, although I do notice when crouching that you don't allways stop suddenly. My guess is if you are mid stride, the rest of the stride will complete before you finish.

My first funny moment. I was making my way to the letter drop off and ran into a house guarded by 3 raiders, one had a flame thrower and one had a machine gun. I kited the flame thrower away and got him down and went back. Unfortunatly my long range options suck, and while I have a sniper rifle, it dosnt do alot of damage or accurate enough. Will trying to make head shots from behind a rock, I suddenly hear the cash register sounds of EXP being given, so I look up to see what happened to him. I saw him cart wheeling in the air in my direction. Of all the timing in the world, a slow moving brotherhood exile patrol came around the back and grenade the guy.

Its pretty funny when you place a bunch of mines in a pile on the ground and then jump up and shoot them. There's nothing quite like a limbless flailing corpse sailing through the air to brighten one's day.

It used to be that you need strength to carry big weapons and wear heavy armor right? but did they change it in this game?

My FPS stay around 50-60 for the most part, but do dip into the 20's on occasion. I don't know what it is about Bethesda's games, but it just feels like you need double the FPS than in any other game just to be playable. Almost like 30 FPS in Fallout 3 is 15 FPS in other games, for example.

Awesome tweak I found over at the fallout forums. Apparently multithreading isnt enabled by default. Here's how to fix:

Open the FALLOUT.INI file in the "My Documents\My Games\Fallout3" folder

Don't change the Threaded settings if you do not have at least a dual core CPU.

Under [General]

bUseThreadedBlood=1 (default is 0)
bUseThreadedMorpher=1 (default is 0)
bUseThreadedAI=1 (default is 0)
bUseThreadedTempEffects=1 (default is 0)
bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1 (default is 0)
iPreloadSizeLimit=104857600 (default is 26214400)

For those with a 8800 (and other video cards that support Pixel Shader 3.0) find under [Display]

bAllow30Shaders=1 (default is 0)

Under [Audio]

bMultiThreadAudio=1 (default is 0)
iMaxImpactSoundCount=64 (default is 32)

Don't know the before and acts but seems like a good thing to change.

Hmm. from what i saw , this game run perfectly. 1920x1440 on my HD4870 with core2@3ghz.
it's told. really good job bethesda ! sound are greats. the only thing it lack for immersion i think is "head bobing". ala stalker.

is there any addons yet ? like highres texture and stuff ?

HUH????....your changing all the values to 1, wouldn't that just mean that instead of the default using core 0 it will then just use core 1. How will that help as it's still using just the one core.

no 0 =means disabled 1= enabled
