Just wait. Only 2 more days here, even then I probably wont get it right away due to Far Cry 2 sitting on my HDD. ::

got the x360 version today from a local store, the character creation phase is "original" (the GOAT test is funny as well as the jobs u can get)
But the real time combat feels like oblivion with guns, u have to play in "VATS" mode to have the Fallout feel, too bad u can't always use it

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

IMHO even the PC version looks like crap. Ultra low res textures FTL.

And people say FC2 graphics are bad. Just my opinion of course. I will be skipping this one to much fun with FC2 and NBA 2k9.

PC gamers. You cannot please us. We complain about low res textures, yet we'll also complain about long load times. We complain about crap AI, but we complain when a game runs slowly or uses a lot of memory.

Its very difficult to explain. Stat system is like oblivion with alot of improvments, atmosphere is like stalker but better in some ways It really feels like being a scavenger living off the trash and debris of a ruined world. Trying to salvage anything that could be used to help you survive your next fight. The world is like huge and its full of stuff, fc2 is huge but empty feeling this is jam packed with stuff. In oblivion theres those useless items everywhere, in this game it seems like everything could have a use, I don't have many schematics yet but I can use tin cans, cleaning solutions, and nuka cola to make a bomb

I got that schematic from a traveling merchant I guess they walk around with there two headed pack mules salvaging and trading

My creative alchemy settings for xfi in vista 64:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Installed Path

Vista 32 I would assume would be
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Installed Path

Run in game mode of course. Still fiddling with it but so far so good.

I'm not even a 1/2 hour in and I can see many Oblivion similarities.

A lot of people say the graphics in the opening of the game are incredible, any feedback on that?
