Why would it be nVidia hardware rendering it incorrectly? Seeing as it was created for nVidia cards, that's not far short of the most ridiculous thing I've heard recently.

Thats because it's done in OpenGL which has less features then DX9.

I downloaded the file and tried to unzip it and it told me the it was not a vaild archive. Can anyone send me the real deal?

Dawn runs in D3D on FX cards right, which is why there is an OpenGL wrapper to be able to run it on Radeon cards.

Nonsense.

The OpenGL wrapper intercepts the application's OpenGL calls and translates them so ATI's OpenGL ICD can understand them.

OpenGL rules!

No. nVidia cards also run the demo in OpenGL. The problem is that the nVidia cards use proprietary extensions which the ATi cards don't have. This newly released wrapper translates those proprietary hardware calls into standard ones the Ati cards can recognize....
