I just sold a bunch of crap on gaybay, Socom Confrontation, Eye of judgement and Little Big Planet. Except EOJ, I pretty much recovered my money on them....

The downloads are cool and the user levels are cool, but in the end you are playing the same exact game... same exact experience... no matter what the textures look like, and it's a pretty simple game, with a lot of annoying issues (jumping feels weird, the 3 levels of depth).

To me, that's why the game is pretty overrated (though still quite good).

LittleBigPlanet is a pretty simple game though, without much going on or excitement. The platforming is not smooth enough to be a classic like Super Mario World or something of that nature... the game's best assets are its art design and music and such, which are the same in user created content as in the main game, for the most part.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying it is not some amazing experience like it was touted as being.

thinking about picking this up for the wife and I. She wants to get more into console gaming and wants a "real game" instead of a shooter.

We've got gran tourismo 5 prologue and she loves playing that but she likes puzzle type games that are easy to just pickup and play.

This one looks like fun and I'm hoping there are a decent amount of user created levels by now. Yes? no?

Tons of user created levels, however Sony still moderates content with a iron fist.
