Default Black bar on Left of Laptop Screen

When running in any configuration with the Nvidia driver, I get a black bar, about 1" wide on the left hand side of the screen. The screen is essentially shifted over 1".

I'm on a Toshiba 1955-S805 laptop running the latest driver. This doesn't happen under the non NVidia driver. The Sax2 video adjustment tool doesn't have any effect.

My configuration and logfile are in my previous post just below.

Thanks!

Here is my thread. I can run X and games under X only in maximal resolution of my Toshiba 1950-801 which is 1280x1204. When i try to switch to some lower res i get similar "effects".
