Default NVIDIA Geforce 9200M GS driver for Ubuntu 64 bit

I am trying to find a linux driver for my laptop which has "NVIDIA Geforce 9200M GS"

No, the 177.80 driver for 64 bit linux isn't working.

Now, I can find my graphics card in supported list in this appendix A:
http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8...ppendix-a.html

But when I goto to the driver download page:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...64_177.80.html

I see a link there (on the left) called "Supported Products List" which points to http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_18897.html

There I can't find "9200M GS" at all!!!!!!

Can anyone confirm me the driver availability of "NVIDIA Geforce 9200M GS" for a 64 bit linux environment ?

thanks,
Shobhit

If your card is listed in Appendix A of the README, then it's supported.

He's trying to get higher resolution for his Virtualbox Ubuntu Virtual Machine. He thinks if he installs the Nvidia driver in his VIRTUAL MACHINE it will allow higher resolution.

Notice the poster is "shobhit" just like this poster? Maybe if he told you what he was actually doing from the start he wouldn't be wasting everyone's time.

Dude, Virtualbox uses a basic VGA "software" adapter. Ubuntu is already providing the correct driver. If you want higher resolution, you have to run Ubuntu directly on your hardware, okay?
