I was playing with a group of random people last weekend and we found the witch at the end of the subway (right as soon as you go through the last train car). But as usual, that didn't work the way we planned it to. It was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Wish I had Fraps turned on to record it.

I love how doors can be destroyed, best aspect of the game... the feeling of lack of safety everywhere.

I didn't love the demo... not big on online games, and this seems to be a game you NEED to play online... but there's one thing I did want to say:

This game is the first in a while where the PC version is obviously, amazingly, better than the console one. Valve has not based the graphics on the console, and the PC version looks much better. Also, the game's fast pace and frantic action works much better with mouse aiming.

Good for Valve.

Could someone tell me please if the full version of the game has fps_max or cl_smooth. It´s a must have if you use v-sync like me! It makes the game a lot smoother...

I've tried to play this game online several times over the past 3 hours and it never connects to any servers.

Is it because of the update today?

I had no problems connecting at all the first 2 days I had this demo. It only took 3 or 4 seconds to find lobbies and they connected without a hitch. Now I sit for two or three minutes waiting for a lobby and if it finds one and all the players join it sits at the loading screen for a minute or two and then disconnects.

Luckily the single player bots are pretty awesome. They did a great job of making them use all of the features of the game.

Too bad we have some crazy high winds here so the ****ing power keeps going out every 20 minutes or so.

I finally downloaded the demo and so far I couldn't connect to any server. It seems to be really buggy and eventually it just stays at the main menu with no way to exit. No text, no PLAY SINGLE PLAYER, MULTIPLAYER, etc. option. The only way I could exit is to stop it from the task manager.

I already preloaded the full game. I hope it isn't this buggy.

Seems like a corrupted download, download it again.
