picked it up today

playin through campaign on single player for a while to get the feel back. i have to say, the game runs better than the original did. i dont have many framerate slowdowns and the graphics are just as good. they must have optimized this time (thank God).

only issue is i get some stuttering in the cutscenes sometimes. just the disc loading though, so nothing can be done about that. looks good and the intro was fun. cant wait to get into it.

Never had some issues with vehicle level. Actually I enjoyed it and it's a nice break from running and shooting on foot. I loved final stage.

GoW2 is great and a nice improvement over GoW1. Now, I can't wait for GoW3. Nice job, Epicgames.

I think they messed up the controls a bit for the driving section.
You accelerate with left stick and turn/aim with the right one.

That's not very good having both turning and aiming on the same stick, so if you drive and aim at a mob you will drive towards them so in effect you can't circle around them and shoot at the same time. It works good in Coop mode though

Finally got a chance to play this today. So far the SP is a blast. One of the most polished games I've played in a while. Looks amazing and runs near perfect.

Played some wingman with some friends. This game takes a lot of skill and teamwork. Finishing off someone is often very satisfying.

I just beat this on hardcore. It was BETTER than the first. That's saying a lot because I think GoW I is on of the best games of all time. This game tops that by not messing too much with the original formula. They just added more of what was great.

I only wish I had another weapon slot because the chainsaw gun and sinper rifle are almost necessities. I would have loved to carry around the flamethrower more.

But the chaingun and mortar were a blast. Loved the shields. Loved the hostage taking. The art in this game and series tops every game out there. It's just imaginative and increadibly detailed.

With this game you get your $60 worth which is more than I can say for many games.

The multiplayer is also great. You can go back and co-op or play horde or vs.

If this were a play I would stand up and give it standing ovation. Bravo Epic! Bravo!

Score: 98

Edit: Went on MetaCritic and found an average user score of 6.7. User reviews are worthless because of arseholes giving out zeros. I can't possibly imagine someone complaining about this awesome game.

I prefer the first one. To me it was a more challenging game. GOW2 is to easy even on hardcore mode.
