SP very fun. Nothing new, but the updates from COD4 are very welcome. The sound effect from the melee attack is sweet. If this is how the MP is gonna be, wide open, many sniper spots/good rifles, should be very fun.

played until the "gunship" mission tonight. Everything seems very smooth and similar to the last one. The fluid animations/sound of melee are nice to see. Faces look MUCH better. One thing that i noticed ust several minutes ago, the soundtrack of this game is AWESOME. Obviously not HL2 or Dead Space caliber, but pretty up there. The mixes of classical and high-tempo are awesome, and i found myself enjoying the game more when the music swelled up. Hopefully will finish by tomorrow and dive into MP to pwn methim

for some reason, i am getting weird "skips" during the playback of the "pre-mission movie". The video is fine, the audio though sometimes cuts out, and resumes about 1-3 seconds after. Its not a big deal by any means.

Creeping up on 64. Hopefully L4D doesn't keep me from even reaching 65.

Ok finished it.

Positives:
Better graphics than cod4.
Very nice soundtrack
environments were better than cod5 too.
weapons are much more interesting.
Vehicle controls.
Limited choices (but at least there were some).

Negatives:
While on the flat-ground based levels it is very hard to see the patterns of enemies respawning, on the steep angle based levels you can see group after group rush out. Ruins the experience and reminds the player even harder the simole basics of cod-style games.

Bit of a spoiler
The "storm the Reichstag" level was complete and utter sh*t!!!, and if there wasnt a cool gunship mission, i would not have enjoyed this game so much.
The opening sections of this level seem simple enough, navigate a flat, concrete square with obstacles, and destroy the 4 AA guns or w/e. After completing this rather simply, the next (and final mission of this section) is to storm the Reichstag. Now this VERY unclear from the missions screen, as at first there are obstacles in the way. The player is taking fire from many areas, as well as trying to dodge random RPG fire. After about 20 minutes of dodging, running around, and trying to get my comrades to GTF out of my way, i realized that a plane is supposed to bomb the barricades. Ok, good idea, but why not ****ing tell me that and save the confusion. Now the next massive failure is how the plane bombs the barricades. There is only cover at the barricades or about 50 yards behind it. If you run out into the open, the player is dead meat, if you stay close to the barricades, you get bombed to ****. See the problem? took me about 30 minutes to beat this level, not to mention very frustrating.

If the scenery doesn't change, the game gets VERY repetitive, the key is to keep moving forward. That level REALLY pissed me off.

I also thought specifically sniper missions were absent from this game. There were a couple, but more would have been better.

Overall i would give this a 7.5/10. Generally it felt like a 9 or 8 easily at times, but the highlighted part made the game less of an enjoyable experince.
