WTF!

It started off all epic and CoD like while in the Pacific. Now I'm in Russia and Germany, with a heavy metal soundtrack going Rambo with a handheld MG42 exploding heads and all and a rehash of the Chernobyl level on CoD4. It's like two different developers did the US and Russian campaigns.

Regardless it's fun, looks great and runs well. Just not as engrossing as Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 was.

WWII themed FPS? I don't think so, there are way too many of them. Why not improve on a platinum game like CoD4? CoD4 was a freakin awesome game. And believe it or not, one of the reasons it was so good was because it was in modern times, not WWII.

If you look outside the CoD series there are a freakin' TON of modern military games as well... I don't see how one is any more played out than the other.

Naw. I just added the executable so I can play with the Steam overlay.

Had a great round before. Took out a few Germans guarding the bomb on Outskirts (is that it? Never remember...) got my arty, took out a few more with that, and defused a second before I could be shot. Fun times.

so I beat the singleplayer on regular . . . . pretty good campaign, I think I liked the Russian side better and I think it was nice to hear some electric guitar instead of the same old orchestral score. there was some frustrating bits here and there, but overall a good experience. played about 4 hours of multi afterwards, hit rank 12 . . . . the inclusion of tanks is interesting, and the dogs aren't as bad as I thought they would be. same COD4 feel, though I don't play competetively so I can't comment on that aspect.

then I played the nazi zombie mode. this little gem of a game mode is only revealed once you beat the single player campaign, and oh it is so awesome. once the friends I play with get their comps all updated, I forsee many raucous crazy nights playing this mode.

overall, I'd say I got my money's worth.
