It seems to have been solved in the beta release. It does take a little more time (total time to restart X is about 15s) than 180.44. But resume from suspend to ram is now fast (roughly 7-8s), which implies that the problem is mostly solved.

180.44 - OK.
185.19 - hangs for 15 seconds in kernel, but it is much more better then 30 or 2 minutes.

Anyway nvidia drivers are much more better then ati's

I can confirm this bug is back and more painful than ever in the 185 series drivers. Presumably it simply hasn't been forward ported to the 185 branch yet?

Can somebody confirm that in 185.18.08 this is still not ported? I tried the beta and, plus having some issues with kdm, it seemed that there is still a 15-30 second hang in there ...

Would be nice to see this solved before beta gets becomes stable.

This one is still kickin' in 190.x. It's getting pretty annoying since the newer kernels seem to have some issues during reboot with the 180 series we're stuck on. Seems odd that a bug which was resolved so long ago in another development branch is still around two branches later.
