I wonder why the 8800 GTS 512 is supported and the 8800 GTS 320 not?

Vla
8800GTS 512 - G92 wich have PureVideo HD 2, and 8800 GTS 320 is G80, which doesn't support PV HD2.

Testing with my new 8500GT card.
Compiling and running patched mplayer works fine, but I only get flicker on screen. Any ideas what I may have done wrong, I've seen one positve message from someone using a 8500GT card. Hi
Just tested with some DVB-T H264 in 1080i and 720p, both .ts files 1080i containing AC-3 audio and the 720p HE-AAC. 1080i clip played about 50% normal speed (A-V sync got further and further out) with some artifacts every so often. Mplayer claimed "Too many video packets in the buffer". 720p clips played normal speed but with jumping/twitching where any motion was, static titles on screen were fine, but anything moving cause jumping and twitching? Grey.ts seems to also have audio / video sync issues, i.e. not playing at right speed. Card is a 8600GT. I can upload some test files if that would help, If only someone could tell me how to cut .ts files? |

Hi
Also just tried a MKV, didn't work as suspected. Tried extracting the video out of the MKV to a raw H264, still didnt play. Just get: Error at libvo/vo_vdpau.c:826% 0 0 |

For people running ubuntu..
I've put the 32 bits package there of mplayer from svn trunk (latest version) ; you'll also need to install the newer x264 packages Available there: http://www.avenard.org/files/ubuntu/ You must have installed nvidia driver 180.06 or 180.08 ; those packages do not check if the drivers have been installed , it assumes they are 64 bits packages will be available later today... |
