If I deactivate hardware accelation in flash settings, everything is fine again (I thing flash uses pure software scaling in that case).
Well, its still a Beta...

(Flash 10, Xserver 1.4.2, no compiz, just plain KDE3, firefox3, 7600GT)

After installing Flash player 10 same problem on KDE4 (with/without KWIN4 compositing).

Now it seems that problem with FIrefox slowness is much better, but isnt 100% away with 180.08.

Guys i have a serious problem with 180.06 drivers..

My card is 8600m gt 512 mb on acer 5920g..

I've been working with 180.06 drivers 3-4 days now and two times until now the monitor started going crazy on and off very fast.. i could not do anything.. so i pressed the reset button.

I will install the latest stable drivers..

using 180.08, too, still experienced laggy browsering on some site, which caused Xorg up to 40-50% cpu usage.

example links:
1) bab.la (search a common word with long explanation, then scroll the page up and down)
2) http://forum.ubuntu.org.cn/viewtopic.php?f=122&t=162032 (just try scroll back and forth with your mouse, it will generate 30% cpu usage for Xorg)

fortunately most of the sites work smoothly.

Next problem is:
In KDE4, when screensaver is running, screen sometimes flashes (blank white screen for about second). Sometimes it is one time per five minutes, sometimes it is 5 times per one minute.

I have KWIN4 composite, with pre-180 drivers all was ok.

The lifetime of sanity has increased with 180.08, from 2 hours up to ~5-6 hours, but still things become very slow at the end of this period.

~5-6 hours, or active switching between more apps ( firefox, oowriter, oocalc, kate, amarok, konversation, ...).

And one interresant fact: with nv driver from Linux kernel (open-source driver) KDE4 and FIrefox (javascript fx too) run beutiful, much better that with 180.xx ...

The 180.11 driver solved this problem. Good job!

The only annoyance that is left is the sluggishness of KDE when resizing windows. I hope you guys fix this soon.

I am still having this problem with 180.22 and flashplayer 10 beta for 64-bit Linux, moving the mouse around while watching Youtube video in full screen mode, and the video lags/freezes.

The flash video plays fine in full screen mode, as long as I don't move my mouse.

Anyone?
