I played the open beta, and at first I was a little unimpressed, but as time went on and I learned more about the game I changed my mind.
One thing that is really phenominal in my opinion is the flight aspect, it is extremely well implemented and very fun.
Also, once I got to level 10 and made it to the larger city, Pandemonium or something like that, I was amazed at it's sheer massiveness.
I also think they got the PVP right, with duels and a PVP area in the game.
If you don't want to PVP you don't have to, and it's nice after playing Lineage 2 not having to constantly look behind my back for some asshat out to gank me.
The graphics also have grown on me, and it looks great on my 40 inch HDTV at 1080p.
I did the pre-purchase thing, and am really looking forward to Sunday!

Is there anyway to still try this game? Does a preorder let you into the closed beta or anything like that? I am getten pretty antsy and interested as far as games go its one of the more impressive ones I've seen.

I've played WoW/EQ2/AoC to the point of no fun anymore,.

Probably a head start for pre-orders on the hours of grinding to lvl up. I can't imagine this being fun, and I hate games that make you do this, even fps'.

It completely diminishes skill from gaming and makes time played equate to talent. Great business model thou seeing as how you have to pay to play.

So does that essentially mean pre orders get to "Play early?" I dont see anything wrong with that. Alot of MMORPGS do. But sure would like some kind of.. err clarification on that before I go preorder for no reason. I am just looking for something interesting to do. If we were one week in the future this would all be moot.

It just means they open up the servers early so you can start playing. This is only for people who preordered the game. In this case the headstart is on the 20th, while the retail release is the 22nd, so you get 2 days extra to play before the game actually releases.

I looked it up. its kinda pre selected head start thing. Doesnt look gaurenteed at all. I'm not gonna spend a little bit extra money preordering in some vain hope I'll get to play two days early. Kind of a bad promotion if you ask me. They should just launch ahead of schedule of they think its ready.

Woot triple post. I am gonna wait closer to the 20th. No sense preordering any sooner since its a digital download. I wish the game came out monday rather than tuesday though.
