Default XEN 177.82 - Cannot display TTY1 (Ctrl-Alt-F1)

Hi everyone,

I compiled the latest 177.82 driver on my SLES 10 SP2 (XEN kernel) as per instructions (and with Thanks!) from muchologo's post "XEN - NVIDIA - STEP BY STEP".

Everything works and its very stable with 3D desktop effects. However, when I hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to my TTY1, the screen goes blank. First, I am able to switch back via Ctrl-Alt-F7 to the GUI so no worries there. However, all my TTYs are now blank (1 thru 4, I disabled the rest).

I know the TTYs are still there because I could login as root and actually perform a reboot of the system just by typing against the blank screen (typing blind).

So it appears that the 177.82 driver compiled for XEN does not display the TTYs. Any ideas and suggestions to fix is this greatly appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: Hardware is Thinkpad T61p with nVidia Quadro FX 570M.
