So is the Warhead editor out yet?

Not yet it seems. Though I am sure it will be anounced here when it does.

I figured it would be out by now but it seems they are still working on it.

May be too late when they release it. Custom, community content seems to have really slowed down in the past few months.

The community seems to have lost interest in the game recently.
