I sympathize ... Assassins creed, DMC4 and Lost planet all came out on consoles before they came out for the PC....and I could get good performance on them with my 8800 GT on 1440X900 4XAA but somehow i doubt if its gonna be the same case for GTA IV.... I quite admire capcom for their Recent attention to PC game.... and they don't do it half a$$ed.... Street Fighter IV is one game i Think is gonna be a lotta fun and worth the wait too... I'm from India and my country is a major contributor to Piracy... I'm quite ashamed of it but when games take forever to come here legitimately , even genuine gamers are moved towards piracy rather than importing or Waiting 4-5 months.....

I don't think it is lame or sloppy at all ...
The graphics are way better than the console version and it runs well on the recommended settings option.
The highest settings were not meant for current PC's.
They have also taken precautions to stop pirating ... for that you should blame anyone that has ever pirated a game as they are all scum.

I'm just wondering did any of the people *****ing about the game even buy it? Cause you really have no right to complain if you didnt buy it or pirated it. The game is great just lower the view distance to double the 360 and crank everything else up... its the same game all the retards loved on the 360s (view distance). No, its not Crysis (thank God). Crysis was boring after awhile and yes, it was as on rails as much as everything else is. GTA is a more about the experience than the graphics anyways.

Also did anyone realize the 360 was capped at 30 with many fps dips especially when you get choppers and cops on you? I get 55-60 steady with the 60 FPS cap on the PC. it runs twice the speed of the 360 and looks more than twice as good. So whats the problem? Just cause you cant max the sliders it's a crappy port? Go back to your lame 360s. I still consider my 360 a "toy" cause it doesn't look even close to as good as the same games on my PC.

With Crysis, you had photo realistic visuals, with GTA IV, you don't. Given how average the game looks, its performance isn't justified.

I think it is ... considering the size of the game area and the amount that is going on.

Exactly. You can just walk out onto the sidewalk, stand there and experience everything. People talking, fighting, cars crashing, honking at each other, etc. There is just much going on. If you stop and just stand there in Crysis you get trees...and more trees... and nothing else happening. GTA IV is a living city.
