I'm having trouble with my save file, I beat this game and copied my safe file from
C:\Users\Trivium Nate\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games to my 2nd drive where i keep all my game stuff,

you need to copy the live folder too from microsoft folder in app data to get back to your saves

Patch 1.03 (1.003?) gives a performance increase.

The new patch just broke my game completely. Won't load a saved game, the benchmark, or start a new game at all. Just crashes to desktop. Never had a problem before.

If you have the Steam version make sure you install the seperate patch and then verify your cache... there was a known issue.

probably something else going on with your PC then, did you try to turn off clip editor?

all i know about GTA IV is it dislikes:

a second card enabled as a Physx card
Overclocked CPUs
single core CPUs
