but crash the chopper straight after or lose the other

stay higher, and don't try to shoot the boat, it will crash either way. just watch out for the rockets.

Isn't this clearly indicated? I got on the chopper the first time, it pretty much stated to press the space bar rapidly.

After playing around abit with the free mode after, I restartd the game and I am doing everything different to see all the alternate story routes. Damn I love this game. I wish the quest given by the peeps on the streets were a little easier to find though. Even in a helicopter, the range you can see them is damn small.

Btw I finally got an xbox 360 controler, but I actually found I didn't like using it for driving because its hard to see whats ahead when turning tight corners. I am so used to rotating the camera first and steering the car into the direction I am facing now. I just HATE not having an analog pedal when keyboard/mousing it.

well i thought it cant be the spacebar as pressing it just seemed to make the camera screw up

You can use the right stick to do just that... ?

The control pad in GTA4 is the best option by far for everything but aiming... and the stick aiming is pretty good, really. Turn of auto-aim, it works great without it.

Aiming is a major part of GTAIV so "everything but aiming" ...well

Yeah, that sounds great, but you are obviously able to use a controller effectively...

mouse and keyboard is much better for everything in the game, aiming, driving, running, even the copter, simply when flying switch from WASD to numpad.

Running is the only thing crap in GTAIV with keyboard, it's either walk or sprint. No in-between, which is annoying with the lag switching from run to walk when getting up tight stairs.
